Job Summary:

Creates an optimal environment for the medical laboratory personnel in the Emergency Center Northeast (ECNE) to provide quality patient care. Provides the technology, supplies, policies, and procedures for quality work. Serves as an interface with administration and clients. Holds primary responsibility for scheduling, evaluating, directing staff members. Evaluated the lab’s work quality. Prepares and monitors section budget. Ensures compliance with Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare (TMH), The Joint Commission (TJC), and the College of American Pathologists (CAP) policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

Director/Lab Services (JC: 009601)

 

Supervises:

Med Lab Technologist (JC: 023102) and Med Lab Technician (JC: 043002)


Required Education:

Bachelor's degree in medical technology or clinical laboratory science

 

Required Experience:

Two (2) years of job-related experience

 

Required Certification/License/Registry:

Florida Clinical Laboratory Supervisor license. Florida Clinical Laboratory Technologist license with microbiology, serology, hematology, and clinical chemistry specialties.
