Job description

Job Summary (List Format):
- Perform laboratory tests and quality control procedures under the direction of the laboratory manager.
- Communicate laboratory results and information with physicians, nurses, and patients.
- Work with clinical laboratory instrumentation and function as a laboratory generalist (chemistry, blood bank, hematology, microbiology).
- Operate independently and provide direction to Medical Laboratory Assistants.
- Maintain compliance with all laboratory policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing and reporting of laboratory specimens.
- Must have a Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field.
- Must be board-eligible by NCA or ASCP and obtain certification within one year.
- Require 1-3 years of related experience or formal student internship.
- Must obtain MT (ASCP) or CLS (NCA) certification within one year of employment.
- Variable 8-hour shifts (days, evenings, or nights).
- Must complete onboarding requirements, including credentialing, immunization records, background checks, and competency testing.
- No private housing provided; shared housing only; no pets allowed.
- Airfare reimbursed upon arrival; travel arrangements and documentation required in advance.
- New Employee Orientation available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays only.
- Compliance with all pre-employment requirements and documentation (e.g., ID, SSN, licensure, background check, drug screen, references) is mandatory before starting work.
