Job description

1-800-Flowers.com, Inc. is seeking an Inventory Coordinator who will be responsible for creating and maintaining inventory management files for perishable and hard goods. This role works as part of a cross-functional team to optimize inventory utilization and service levels. The Inventory Coordinator's work has a direct impact on customer experience and business results in a fast-paced, real-time environment. Using inventory systems, reporting tools, and collaboration across departments, this individual helps ensure accurate inventory availability across our online stores.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Prepare spreadsheets, reports, and diagnostic tools for the department, including IMON, ATS, shipment files, open purchase order reports, and other inventory reporting.
  • Monitor inventory reports to identify unavailable product alerts and partner with Inventory Specialists and Planners to resolve inventory issues, ensuring accurate stock availability across Atlas and web channels.
  • Issue approved purchase requisitions and monitor order and inventory status to ensure timely delivery and receipt of merchandise.
  • Create system transfers for inventory distributions issued by the inventory team.
  • Compile month-end inventory data and prepare documentation for obsolescence reviews. Follow up to ensure disposition plans are completed.
  • Perform month-end physical inventory accumulation and reconciliation. Prepare and review inventory costs and inventory valuation reports.
  • Maintain database information for inventory receipts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Inventory Management.
  • Experience working in a retail environment preferred.
  • Strong mathematical, analytical, and reconciliation skills.
  • Understanding of merchandising, inventory management, direct marketing, and operational processes.
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access. Experience with Atlas and Oracle is a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively across departments.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while responding quickly to urgent business needs.
  • Willingness to ask questions, escalate issues when appropriate, and continuously learn.
  • Strong desire to grow professionally and advance within the organization.
Compensation

The expected pay range for this position is $25.00-$26.00 per hour. Actual compensation will be based on experience, skills, and other factors permitted by law.
