Job description

Position Overview:

This is not a remote position. Helms College is seeking a dedicated Medical Insurance Managementย  ย Adjunct Faculty to deliver high-quality instruction to students preparing for careers in the healthcare field.ย Typical work hours fall between 8:30am -3:00pm for our Day Courses and/or 5:30 PM and 10:30 PM two days per week for our Evening Classes

The ideal candidate will beย passionate about student successย and bring both clinical expertise andย real-world experienceย from a medical setting. This role plays a key part in preparing students for industry certification, job readiness, and ethical service in healthcare environments.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

โ€ขย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Deliver engaging instruction in accordance with the approved MSMA curriculum

โ€ขย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Maintain classroom and clinical lab environments that promote hands-on learning

โ€ขย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Provide regular feedback, guidance, and support to students

โ€ขย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Participate in campus events such as open houses, graduation, and student enrichment activities

โ€ขย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Maintain accurate attendance, grading, and student records

โ€ขย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and a commitment to Helms Collegeโ€™s mission

Required Qualifications:

โ€ขย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program, having earned a certificate, diploma, or degree

โ€ขย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Three (3) years of recent experience in a medical facility

โ€ขย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Must be certified or registered (CMA, RMA, LPN, RN, or CCMA), or able to obtain certification within 90 days of hire

โ€ขย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย Availability to work Morning (8:30 - 3:00pm) for our Morning Classes and/or afternoon/evening hours (5:00 PM โ€“ 10:30 PM) for our Evening Classes twoย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  to three nights per week.

Preferred Qualifications:
