Job Requirements:

Without supervision, UHS HTM Senior ISE (Senior Imaging Service Engineer) performs: evaluations, repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance on Medical Imaging devices used in the diagnosis of patients at assigned UHS facilities.

  • Can perform preventive maintenance (PM) or operational verification procedure (OVP) on 95% of the device types in Medical Imaging inventory.
  • Can repair 95% of the device types in Medical Imaging inventory unassisted.
  • Focuses performance to ensure the safest and best possible patient experience. Delivers exceptional service to all customers that meets or exceeds all regulatory requirements and compliance. Assists in developing and strengthening facility and vendor relationships. Meets all established key performance indicator (KPI) requirements.
  • Very experienced with healthcare technology management programs. Thorough medical equipment knowledge (manufacturers, models, modalities, device types, capital planning). Thorough understanding of regulatory requirements of medical imaging devices (CMS, TJC, NRC, State, Local). Professional Certification preferred (CRES) and/or other professional certifications as deemed pertinent by the hiring director.
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft products), very experienced with computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) products. Local travel will be required periodically.
  • Documents and maintains records of all work activities in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
  • Participates in on-call schedule/rotation as directed. Routinely performs the corrective and preventive maintenance of devices and all related follow-up communications. Travels to other sites as directed/needed. Understands and complies with all regulatory requirements. Understands and properly operates all test equipment required for the repair and maintenance of devices in the HTM Medical Imaging service program. Follows established corporate and local policies and procedures pertinent to the position held. Participates in and/or facilitates in-service education to device users. Coordinates the ordering of replacement parts and/or service on devices. Ensures replacement parts/services are delivered and ensures accuracy of invoicing. Ensures all exchange parts ordered are returned for proper credit within the time frame specified.
  • Provides leadership and mentoring to the ISE I & ISE II positions.
  • Works with HTM Leadership, and facility leadership/coworkers to effectively manage the HTM Medical Imaging program to deliver program excellence. Develops and sustains vendor relationships, as well as coworker relationships.
  • Works with the assigned UHS facilities to help develop, maintain and sustain a 5-year capital plan for devices included in the Medical Imaging CMMS database. Facilitates device evaluations, as assigned, for medical imaging devices. Assists UHS HTM leadership with identifying and suggesting devices for device acquisition and/or replacement.
