About the role
The Product Marketing Manager will own product positioning, messaging, and enablement materials to support sales and bottom-of-funnel campaigns. This role bridges product and marketing, ensuring our offerings are clearly articulated and competitive. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who brings deep B2B tech experience, a clear understanding of multi-stakeholder buyer journeys, and genuine enthusiasm for empowering and collaborating closely with sales, product, and customer success teams.
Key Responsibilities
POSITIONING, MESSAGING & MARKET INTELLIGENCE
  • Develop and maintain product marketing documentation, including positioning statements, feature sheets, competitive battlecards, and objection-handling frameworks.
  • Build and maintain detailed buyer personas and buyer journeys, with a nuanced understanding of the difference between end users and economic buyers (e.g., C-suite, department heads) common in complex B2B sales cycles.
  • Conduct competitive intelligence and market research to inform messaging, positioning, and pricing strategies.
  • Monitor the regulatory and industry landscape for opportunities to sharpen messaging or introduce new campaigns.
  • Define and maintain the company's ICP and ideal market segments in collaboration with sales and product leadership. Conduct AI-supported data analysis to compare buyer profiles with ICP and optimize our targeting as needed.
  • Provide clear, well-structured foundational documentation and ongoing strategic advice for GTM campaigns to optimize product representation and align campaigns to the messages that resonate most in the market.
  • Proactively recommend new GTM messaging and approaches based on changing market trends and insights from the sales and customer success teams.
  • Develop a deep and ever-evolving understanding of our product, its many use cases and users, and the unique value props it offers in the market.
  • Quickly design and revise necessary graphics, often with the support of templates, in Figma, Adobe InDesign, and Photoshop as needed. Agile in finding quick solutions to graphic design needs and using AI and other tools to scale and create visual content quickly. Considers visual content as foundational to product marketing success.
  • Write on-brand, clear content for sales enablement materials, ads, emails, and landing pages as needed, ensuring that content aligns to campaign goals, accurately represents the product, and resonates with the target audience.

SALES ENABLEMENT & CROSS-FUNCTIONAL COLLABORATION
  • Act as a strategic partner and enthusiastic collaborator to the sales team, proactively identifying gaps in their toolkit, gathering feedback from the field, and building materials that directly address real objections and buying scenarios. Recommend strategic approaches and best practices based on a deep knowledge of the buying journey and of our target audience.
  • Own, maintain, and optimize a centralized sales enablement content repository, ensuring materials are current, organized, and easily accessible to the sales team.
  • Proactively work with teams throughout the company, including product and customer success, to collect product data and customer insights that will inform sales enablement materials, market positioning, campaign strategy, and more.
  • Create and maintain sales enablement materials including sell sheets, presentations, demo talking points, and ROI/value-based selling tools.
  • Build and maintain a customer reference program, including the operational infrastructure behind tracking, automating, and executing said program.
  • Partner with sales to ensure ongoing alignment on messaging, processes, and tools.

PRODUCT STRATEGY & COMMUNICATIONS
  • Act as a deeply engaged collaborator with the product team, participating in roadmap conversations, advocating for market-informed decisions, and ensuring the "why behind the what" is grounded in real customer and competitive evidence.
  • Collaborate with the product and digital experience teams to align on product and feature naming, as well as methods and strategies for communicating new features and updates.
  • Support customer communications via email, in-product notifications, and other tools, providing writing, editing, and technical support as necessary.
  • Ensure the product development schedule is always up-to-date and visible to the marketing team and flag opportunities for new messaging or campaigns.

CAMPAIGN OWNERSHIP & MARKETING AUTOMATION
  • Lead bottom-of-funnel campaigns to convert high-intent prospects and accelerate the sales funnel.
  • Lead product launch campaigns and competitor displacement campaigns, including associated webinars.
  • Support product-driven campaigns and comms, including those around new product acquisition and migrations.
  • Manage projects in Asana with genuine proficiency and enthusiasm, building project plans, tracking execution, communicating status proactively, and ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Bring an expert-level background in HubSpot and Salesforce marketing automation and analytics, including how to build and optimize email communications, workflows, and operational infrastructure in service of campaign optimization and performance tracking.

CONTENT, SOCIAL PROOF & REVIEW SITES
  • Proactively manage review site and marketplace platform content and creative. Expand our presence on these platforms and drive leads through them. Respond to reviews and identify opportunities for integrations, lead generation, and partnerships.
  • Maintain and continually update a library of statistics that form the foundation of strong social proof and data-driven messaging. Conduct data analysis and collaborate with the product team, Content Marketing Manager, and others to develop additional statistics for marketing deployment.
  • Submit the company for relevant industry awards and recognition and maintain a list of opportunities and deadlines.

AI FLUENCY
  • Bring demonstrated experience using AI tools to accelerate and strengthen core PMM work, including competitive intelligence synthesis, persona development, messaging iteration, and content production, with a track record of building repeatable AI-assisted workflows, not just one-off use.
  • Take a strategic leadership role in developing AI-driven processes for the broader marketing team, particularly around how product and market intelligence is gathered, organized, and translated into campaign-ready assets, owning the methodology and tooling, not just participating in it.

TEAM SUPPORT & COLLABORATION
  • Review and copyedit all content that makes product claims.
  • Collaborate with the Content Marketing Manager on webinar and nurture content designed to drive bottom-of-funnel conversions.
  • Own website content from a product perspective and advise on the creation or revision of all new pages on strategy and product positioning, providing copy and copyedits as needed. Proactively update the website as needed.
  • Collaborate with the Content Marketing Manager to generate webinar and whitepaper topics and source speakers for webinars as well as blog guest authors.

Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years in product marketing or related roles, with experience in B2B tech or SaaS strongly preferred.
  • Strong ability to translate complex technical features into clear, compelling customer and buyer benefits.
  • Demonstrated experience building sell sheets, competitive battlecards, buyer personas, and buyer journey maps, particularly in multi-stakeholder B2B sales environments.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulatory and compliance context for the industry and ability to incorporate this into messaging and campaign strategy.
  • Experience creating and maintaining sales enablement programs with a genuine passion for helping sales teams win.
  • Strong fluency in with CRM and marketing automation tools (HubSpot and Salesforce preferred).
  • Strong proficiency in Asana, with genuine enthusiasm for project management, organization, and clear cross-functional communication.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to simplify complex concepts for diverse audiences.
