Full Job Description
Medix is seeking a Quality Control Technician to join a premier, global medical manufacturing team in Irvine, CA. This facility specializes in advanced orthopedic and orthobiologic solutions that change patient lives daily.
No Medical Device experience? No problem. While prior medical device experience is preferred, we are actively looking for candidates with quality inspection experience from other regulated industries (such as Aerospace, Aviation, or Automotive) who want to break into the medical field!
What You Will Do (Job Duties):
  • Inspection: Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and final products using blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
  • Compliance & Documentation: Review biological donor records and perform detailed label inspections to ensure 100% compliance. Document all QA activities accurately.
  • Auditing: Conduct standard audits of manufacturing lines to ensure process compliance and product segregation.
  • System Tracking: Log parts and audit data into the company's inventory tracking system (Oracle ERP).
  • Inventory Control: Identify defects, initiate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and route non-conforming materials for proper disposition.

Qualifications (Requirements):
  • Experience: 0 to 2 years of quality inspection experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (Medical Device, Aerospace, or Automotive are all highly preferred).
  • Skills: Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, or written standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Tech-Savvy: Basic computer skills for data entry. (Experience with Oracle, SAP, or similar ERP systems is a major plus).
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Preferred (But Not Required):
  • Prior cleanroom manufacturing experience.
  • ASQ Certifications (such as CQIT or CQIA).
