Quality Control Inspector
Santa Rosa, CA
Full-Time | Monday–Thursday | 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM
About the Opportunity
A confidential medical device manufacturer is seeking an experienced Quality Control Inspector to join its Quality team. This role is responsible for inspecting components, subassemblies, and finished medical devices to ensure products meet quality standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations.
The ideal candidate has previous medical device quality inspection experience, excellent attention to detail, and is comfortable working in a regulated manufacturing and cleanroom environment.
Responsibilities
  • Perform inspections of incoming materials, subassemblies, and finished medical devices using precision measuring equipment.
  • Conduct product testing to verify compliance with quality and performance standards.
  • Identify nonconforming materials and document findings accurately.
  • Review Device History Records (DHRs) and quality documentation prior to product release.
  • Maintain inspection records in accordance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
  • Support calibration and verification of inspection equipment and fixtures.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and inspection procedures.
  • Partner with Quality and Manufacturing teams to resolve quality issues and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Work within a cleanroom environment while following all quality and safety procedures.
Qualifications
Required:
  • Associate degree (AA) or higher
  • 3–6 years of Quality Control inspection experience in the medical device industry
  • Experience using precision inspection equipment, including:
    • Microscopes
    • Calipers
    • Micrometers
    • Pin gauges
    • Snap gauges
    • CMM
    • Instron testers
  • Ability to read engineering drawings, specifications, and technical procedures
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Candidate
