Senior Account Executive - Medical Device (New Business)
About the role
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Senior Account Executive (Sr. AE) to join our sales team, focused on acquiring new clients in the Medical Device industry. This individual will be responsible for driving sales of our Medical Device technology and professional services to new clients, with an emphasis on regulatory solutions that address critical industry needs. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the Medical Device space and a proven track record of closing complex, consultative sales.
Responsibilities:
  • New Client Acquisition: Identify, engage, and close new business opportunities within the life sciences sector, targeting pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device companies.
  • Consultative Selling: Conduct a needs assessment to understand client pain points, tailoring solutions that meet their specific compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Pipeline Development: Build and manage a robust sales pipeline, from prospecting through to contract negotiation and close, ensuring consistent progress and deal velocity.
  • Market Expertise: Stay up to date with the latest trends, challenges, and regulations within the life sciences industry, positioning our solutions as essential to achieving regulatory compliance.
  • Product Knowledge: Develop a deep understanding of our Medical Device technology and services and key regulatory requirements, enabling you to effectively communicate value to clients.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product, and operations teams to ensure alignment on product offerings, sales strategies, and client onboarding.
  • Sales Reporting: Regularly track and report on sales metrics, providing accurate forecasts and updates on pipeline status, deal progression, and revenue generation.
  • Relationship Building: Establish and nurture strong relationships with key decision-makers, including regulatory, compliance, and procurement leaders at potential client organizations.

Qualifications:
  • Background in consultative sales specializing in PIM/ UDI/ GDSN compliance and regulatory product data submissions.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, life sciences, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5-7+ years of B2B sales experience, with a focus on selling technology or professional services in the life sciences, pharmaceutical, or regulatory compliance sectors.
  • Experience selling SaaS-based solutions in the Medical Device sector and an existing network of contacts within the Medical Device sector
  • Proven Sales Success: Demonstrated ability to close new business and meet or exceed sales quotas, with a track record of success in a high-performance sales environment.
  • Consultative Sales Approach: Strong ability to conduct needs-based selling, developing customized solutions that align with client business goals and regulatory needs.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical and regulatory solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Negotiation Skills: Proven ability to negotiate complex deals, manage multiple stakeholders, and navigate the sales cycle to close.
  • Self-Starter: Ability to work independently, with strong self-motivation and the drive to exceed expectations.
  • Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of life sciences regulatory frameworks and compliance challenges is preferred.

U.S. National Base Pay Range: $81,400 - $151,100. Total Target Cash Range: $125,300 - $232,700. Geographic differentials may apply in some locations to better reflect local market rates.If performed in New Jersey, the base pay range is $98,483 - $157,317, the total target cash range is $151,690 - $242,310.Pay mix between base and variable pay varies based on sales role; please discuss with the recruiter.
