Job description

The Senior JD Edwards (JDE EnterpriseOne) Business Process Specialist serves as the long-term functional lead for JDE EnterpriseOne and a key partner to the VP of IT. This role is responsible for functional/process leadership, requirements discovery, solution design, and functional roadmap across JDE, partnering with business stakeholders to improve end-to-end processes and adoption. This position is intended as a planned handoff from an existing JDE technical consultant currently supporting the organization; the Senior JDE Business Process Specialist will become the dedicated long-term internal resource for functional leadership, documentation, process improvement, and cross-functional enablement.

  • Gather, document, and analyze business requirements through stakeholder collaboration and workshops.
  • Translate requirements into clear functional specifications and partner with technical resources to support technical specifications when needed.
  • Serve as the functional lead for JDE EnterpriseOne business processes, ensuring alignment with best practices and organizational goals.
  • Identify process improvements and automation opportunities, recommending scalable solutions using JDE best practices.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, and related stakeholders) to enhance workflows and maximize system utilization.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) planning and execution, including test scripts, defect triage, validation, and sign-off support.
  • Assist with user training, job aids, and change enablement to drive adoption and consistent process execution.
  • Drive knowledge transfer and documentation (process maps, SOPs, functional design documents, training materials).
  • Support functional prioritization and roadmap planning for JDE enhancements and distribution-related capabilities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Required: Approximately 10 years of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne (JDE E1) experience.
  • Required: 8+ years in a functional/business process analyst capacity supporting JDE E1 (minimum).
  • Required: 5+ years deep experience with JDE Distribution models (minimum).
  • Experience with JDE Version 9.2 or greater.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Transact SQL.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Web OMW, UOD’s, Orchestrator, Watchlist, Web Scheduler
  • Knowledge of REST, FTP, Direct DB connections
  • Demonstrated Experience in configuring, testing and debugging JD Application
  • Working knowledge of JDE Security Model
  • Good working knowledge of AAI’s, DMAAI, Line Typer and Order Activity rules and how to manipulate,
  • Demonstrated ability to elicit requirements, create functional specifications, and drive UAT and training.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills; able to bridge business and technical teams.
  • Top priority distribution modules: Inventory Management; Sales Order Management; Procurement/Purchase Order Management; Warehouse Management.
  • Preferred modules: Advanced Pricing; Agreement Management/Contract Pricing; Fixed Assets: Fulfillment Management.
  • Preferred: Healthcare/medical device/regulated industry experience.
