Job Summary
Golden Merced Care Center inis seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) responsible for resident services and other duties assigned, performing duties with other staff and volunteers as appropriate. Duties include medication assistance/administration, nursing services, dining services and others as needed for resident well-being. Trains other staff as assigned.
Essential Functions:
  • Supervises nursing care to residents
  • Complies with state and Federal Regulations
  • Works Collaboratively with members of the healthcare team
  • Maintains standards of professional nursing practice.
  • Provides back-up to Director of Nursing when needed.
  • Reviews assignments with Director of Nursing and Administrator.
  • Observes changes in resident status, needs or preferences, and communicates them appropriately to the Director of Nursing and/or Resident Care Manager.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of and adheres to procedures for fire, life safety, disaster, security, work, safety, and other emergency procedures.
  • Notifies physician, RN and/or designated agent(s) of resident status/change as appropriate. Receives and executes written and verbal orders from the physician or designated agent, as permitted by state regulations.

Education, Licensure, & Experience Requirements:
  • Must possess a current LVN license in good standing.
  • Must have at least 1 year of experience in healthcare.
  • Must have training in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations and guidelines that pertain to nursing care facilities.
