Job Summary

The Contracting Officer is responsible for managing the procurement and negotiation of contracts related to goods and services for the organization. This role involves ensuring compliance with institutional policies and regulations while fostering strong relationships with vendors to achieve favorable terms and conditions

Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 -
Manages the procurement process by identifying the needs of various departments and developing clear specifications for goods and services
Job Duty 2 -
Negotiates contract terms and conditions with vendors to secure the best possible pricing and service agreements for the organization
Job Duty 3 -
Ensures compliance with institutional policies, federal regulations, and legal requirements throughout the contracting process
Job Duty 4 -
Reviews and analyze contract documents to assess risks and benefits, making recommendations to management as necessary
Job Duty 5 -
Maintains strong relationships with vendors, addressing any issues or concerns that arise during the contract lifecycle
Job Duty 6 -
Prepares and present reports on contract performance, compliance, and cost savings to senior management
Job Duty 7 -
Provides training and guidance to staff on best practices in contract management and compliance requirements

Job Duty 8 -
Monitors and evaluate vendor performance to ensure that services and products meet the agreed-upon standards and contractual obligations
Job Duty 9 -
Collaborates with internal stakeholders to streamline contracting processes and improve efficiency in procurement activities
Job Duty 10 -
Perform other duties as assigned
