Job Summary

Installs, maintains, and repairs electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures for the casino complex. Ensures that work is in accordance with relevant codes.

Essential Job Duties

  1. Train General Maintenance Workers and other maintenance personnel in the electrical trade. Lead the electrical work of trainees on the job site.
  2. Coordinate electrical projects with vendors as needed.
  3. Order materials & supplies for electrical service and projects. Maintain inventory logs.
  4. Troubleshoot and repair commercial grade Electrical components, systems, & equipment.
  5. Follow blueprints & diagrams to install Electrical components, systems, & equipment.
  6. Perform routine maintenance & inspections on Electrical components, systems, & equipment.
  7. Use and maintain tools & equipment in accordance with manufacturer recommendations & industry standards.
  8. Review, verify, and follow all applicable codes & regulations, manufacturer recommendations, and industry standards regarding equipment, systems, and work practices.
  9. Use Company PCs to communicate via email and use internet & software applications, including HVAC automation & UPS network programs.
  10. Maintain all necessary certification, licensure and degree requirements through required college coursework, continuing education, & training seminars.
  11. Assist and coordinate with a variety of skilled trade personnel to complete job assignments.
  12. Submit progress reports, job reports, and completed work orders issued by Department Management in a timely manner.
  13. Communicate and network effectively with staff, other departments, and outside representatives in order to maintain a productive and effective department operation.
  14. Safeguard and account for the assets of the owners.
  15. Comply with policies and procedures required by the department, the company, the Sac & Fox Gaming Commission, and the National Indian Gaming Commission.
  16. Monitor the casino environment and follow established safety procedures to provide for the safety of guests and co-workers.
  17. Work respectfully and effectively as part of the company team to ensure guest satisfaction, asset protection, and co-worker respect.
  18. Report to work on time and as required in professional attire, display a high level of personal cleanliness and follow personal appearance standards.

Supplemental Job Duties

  1. Provide maintenance service to other departments as requested via radio dispatch and work order requests.
  2. Aid other co-workers on assigned project to meet deadline.
  3. Keep time, material for assigned work orders, submits to supervisor upon completion.
  4. Submit Daily Report (work log) to supervisor at end of shift.
  5. Attend all required meetings and training sessions.
  6. Perform other job related duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

May be exposed to loud and continual noise levels and a smoke filled environment. Moderate lifting, pushing and pulling up to 50 pounds is required. Significant reaching, twisting, crawling, stooping, grasping, climbing, kneeling, and use of hands, wrists, arms and legs are required. There will be moderate exposure to hot and cold temperature variations, dust, odors, elevated working conditions, hazardous equipment and high voltage. Required to be on-call 24 hours a day, including weekends. Must be confidential.

Minimum Job Qualifications

Knowledge/Education/Work Experiences: Requires a valid Journeymanโ€™s or Master Electricianโ€™s License and (3) years of experience as a skilled electrician, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have knowledge of blueprints, schematics, lock out tag out procedures and the National Electrical Code. Must have good knowledge of computers and software applications. Valid Iowa Driver License preferred. Must be able to obtain a gaming license in accordance to the regulations established by the Sac & Fox Gaming Commission.

Skills/Abilities: Must be able to meet deadlines and work independently with limited supervision. Must be able to able to supervise and direct the work of others. Must be able to follow all Environment, Public Health, and Safety (EPHS) requirements. Must have strong computer skills. Must be able to handle busy and stressful situations. Must possess poise and tact. Must be flexible with working hours and days off. Must have good organizational and communication skills. Must have knowledge of blueprints and schematics with attention to details. Must be able to meet all supervisory & non-supervisory training and education requirements.

Restrictions

This position is PROHIBITED from playing all casino games while on duty, except as authorized for employee tournaments. Otherwise, this position may play any casino game while off duty. Employees and members of the household are prohibited from entering company contests and giveaways established for our guests.
