Assist dentists during procedures such as restorations, extractions, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and maintaining aseptic techniques
Take and develop dental X-rays and medical imaging, including use of digital 3D scanners
Accurately record vital signs and patient medical history in electronic health record (EHR) systems
Manage patient flow by greeting patients, scheduling appointments, and providing reception support
Ensure strict compliance with infection prevention protocols and maintain a sterile clinical environment
Utilize four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize clinical efficiency
Educate patients about procedures, post-care instructions, and oral health maintenance
Maintain detailed medical documentation consistent with HIPAA standards, ensuring patient confidentiality
Assist with medical coding for billing and insurance purposes, ensuring accurate dental record entries

Salary Range

Full-time $18 - $25 per hour

Shift & Schedule

Monday through Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Friday: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Saturday & Sunday: Closed

Requirements
  • Dentrix
  • Eaglesoft
  • Infection Control License
  • X-ray / Radiography Certification

Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting
Proficiency with EHR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic
Solid knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control, and aseptic techniques
Ability to perform dental X-rays safely, adhering to radiation safety standards
Strong communication skills and ability to interact effectively with patients and dental team
Ability to maintain attention to detail while managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
High school diploma or equivalent

Preferences
  • Basic life support
  • Cardiopulmonary resuscitation

Experience with pediatric dentistry and managing pediatric patients
Certification in dental assisting or relevant accredited training
CPR certification
