Job description

For over seven decades investor-owned utilities, municipalities, cooperatives, and others have entrusted their electrical construction and maintenance needs to Davis H. Elliot Company, Inc. (Elliot).

Elliot is a full-service electrical contractor specializing in overhead and underground distribution, transmission, substations, lighting, traffic signaling, utility locating and industrial/commercial services.

Job Description

As a Journeyman Electrician you will be required to perform all types of electrical work in commercial construction and healthcare environments. As part of the day-to-day responsibilities you will be completing the following:

  • Wiring
  • Bending, Threading, EMT and Rigid conduit
  • Troubleshooting and completing electrical circuits 
  • Complete transformers, motor control, switchboards, and lighting applications
  • Reading blueprints, drawings, schematics, and other reference material
  • Receive and complete work orders
  • Capable of training Electrical apprentices 
  • Able to work with minimal supervision
  • Operate tools and equipment according to company and OSHA safety procedures 
  • Versatile to work in commercial and industrial environments

Qualifications

  • Kentucky electrical license is recommended but not required
  • 5+ Years of experience recommended
  • Valid drivers license
  • Own your own hand tools
  • Proficiency with NEC and local codes
  • Must be able to pass criminal background check and drug screening
