Job description

The Medical Billing Representative plays a vital role in managing the financial flow within private practice healthcare settings. This self-supervised position is responsible for accurately processing invoices, managing insurance claims, and supporting patient billing activities primarily using Chartlogic and Intergy software systems. The representative ensures payment posting and account reconciliation are handled efficiently while providing reliable customer support. Occasional travel for meetings may be required, and the role reports directly to the Billing Supervisor.

Responsibilities

  • Process invoices and patient billing accurately
  • Manage insurance claims submission and follow-up
  • Post payments and perform account reconciliations
  • Provide timely customer support to patients and insurance companies
  • Enter and maintain accurate billing data within Chartlogic and Intergy
  • Collaborate with the billing supervisor as a self-supervised team member
  • Attend meetings as required, including occasional travel

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year experience in medical billing
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

  • Billing certification recommended but not required
  • Experience with medical billing software
  • Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding
