Part-Time Collector
Haymarket Surgery Center

Haymarket Surgery Center is a premier multispecialty surgery center dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care in a modern and innovative environment. We are seeking a motivated and experienced Part-Time Collector to join our team.

Position Overview

As a FT Collector, you will play a critical role in managing patient accounts and ensuring timely reimbursement for services rendered. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in medical billing and collections, demonstrate longevity in previous roles, and maintain a high level of accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform timely and effective follow-up on outstanding patient accounts
  • Communicate with patients, insurance companies, and third-party payers to resolve billing issues and inquiries
  • Review and analyze accounts receivable reports to identify trends and implement corrective actions
  • Utilize billing software and electronic medical record (EMR) systems to track payments and update patient records
  • Collaborate with the billing team and other departments to streamline processes and optimize revenue cycle performance
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 3–4 years of collections experience, with a strong emphasis on healthcare insurance collections
