Description
This Medical Secretary position is for a busy 2 physician Internal Medicine/Endocrinology office in Framingham, MA, supporting both providers.
Qualifications:
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Must be able to multitask.
  • Epic Experience preferred.
  • Computer skills.
  • Patient care skills.

Hours: 8:30am to 5:00pm Monday-Friday

Requirements
• Answering and handling telephone calls from providers, patients, etc., including triaging calls appropriately
• Checking patients in and out for their appointments
• Scheduling appointments including making referral and ancillary appointments
• Supporting physicians in their day-to-day work schedule
• Processing requests for referrals and prescription refills
• Handling tasks such as collecting payments, registering patients in the electronic medical records system, copying and mailing medical records, confirming insurance eligibility, providing patient reminders, addressing no-show patients, among others
• Keep track of office and medical supplies
• Coordinating care with other offices as needed
• Assisting in medical tasks such as rooming patients, taking vitals, and performing EKGs if needed
• Answering patients' questions regarding billing, insurance issues, etc.
• Working as a team with other members of office to provide high quality patient care
• Performing other duties as assigned by the Office Manager
