The Medical Assistant at MyCare 365 works collaboratively with providers and healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care to patients in an ambulatory and urgent care setting. This role is ideal for an experienced Medical Assistant who thrives in a fast-moving environment, can effectively prioritize patient needs, and is passionate about creating a positive patient experience.
What You'll Do:
- Provide direct patient care under the delegation and supervision of a provider.
- Support patient flow by efficiently rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, documenting medical histories, and preparing patients for examination and treatment.
- Assist with clinical procedures, specimen collection, point-of-care testing, and other urgent care-related responsibilities.
- Recognize and respond appropriately to the needs of patients presenting with a wide range of acute illnesses and injuries.
- Collaborate closely with providers, nurses, and other team members to ensure safe, timely, and compassionate care.
- Maintain accurate documentation and support quality, safety, and service excellence initiatives.
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience working as a Medical Assistant in an urgent care, walk-in clinic, or other fast-paced ambulatory care environment strongly preferred.
- Ability to multitask, adapt quickly, and remain composed while caring for patients with varying levels of acuity.
- Strong communication, customer service, and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to delivering care that reflects the Wake Way to Excellence through compassion, respect, and accountability.
