Medical Assistant - Vera Whole Health (West Marietta)
Location: 3625 Dallas Hwy, Bldg. 800, Marietta, GA 30064
Schedule:
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday: 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM
Thursday: 9:30 AM - 6:30 PM
Compensation: $20-$30 per hour

Phlebotomy experience is REQUIRED
Must live within a reasonable commuting distance to Marietta, GA
Must be Certified for Medical Assistant

As a Medical Assistant at Vera Whole Health, you will support both clinical and frontoffice operations to ensure a seamless patient experience. You will assist providers with clinical procedures, manage patient flow, perform phlebotomy, and contribute to the overall efficiency of the care center.

How You Will Make an ImpactPatient Care
  • Take manual vital signs, document in the EMR, and perform system reviews

  • Perform pointofcare testing and assist with diagnostic procedures

  • Administer immunizations, injections, and medications per provider direction

  • Perform phlebotomy, prepare lab work, and process specimens

  • Observe and document patient responses

  • Support patient education and selfmanagement coaching

  • Track preventive care needs, referrals, and followup care

  • Coordinate care with specialists, disease management, and case management programs

Clinic Operations
  • Manage patient flow throughout the care center

  • Prepare exam and procedure rooms based on visit needs

  • Handle multiline phones, email communication, and occasional frontdesk duties

  • Maintain inventory and stock clinical supplies

  • Support scheduling, patient registration, and external communications

  • Travel to nearby sites or offsite events as needed

Compliance & Quality
  • Perform QA controls and complete required documentation

  • Follow safety, infection control, and universal precaution standards

  • Maintain HIPAA compliance and protect patient confidentiality

  • Meet medical record documentation standards

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, OSHA, and CLIA compliance

Team Collaboration
  • Participate in team huddles, meetings, and careplanning discussions

  • Support clinic performance targets and patientexperience goals

  • Engage in ongoing training, competency assessments, and continuous learning

  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Additional Qualifications
  • Ability to set up exam/procedure rooms using sterile/aseptic technique

  • Understanding of sterilization and autoclave processes

  • Ability to support officebased procedures

  • Experience documenting in an EMR (required)

  • CPR/BLS certification required (prehire)
