Job Description:

Under the supervision of the Team Lead Nurse, the Medical Assistant provides direct clinical services to patients by performing basic patient care tasks. These tasks include but are not limited to, vital signs, triage, pre visit planning, room cleaning and stocking, phone calls, record reviews, referrals and EMR documentation. They will support patient centered medical home model of care (PCMH).

Educational Requirements:

High School diploma or GED required. Completion of an accredited medical assistant training program preferred. Phlebotomy training preferred.

Experience Required:

Previous experience in primary health care or other health care setting preferred, not required. Completion of Medical Assistant externship required.


Reporting Relationship:

Reports to the assigned Team Lead Department Nurses
