Job Description
  • Patient Care
  • Greet patients in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Escort patients from the waiting area to the examination room.
  • Verify patient identity using approved identifiers.
  • Obtain and document, chief complaint, allergies, medications, and updates to medical, surgical, family, and social history.
  • Prepare patients for examinations and procedures.
  • Ensure patient comfort while maintaining privacy and confidentiality
  • Accurately document all components of the patient visit in the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Document all orders, prescriptions, referrals, laboratory requests, and follow-up recommendations.
  • Complete visit documentation promptly and accurately.
Qualifications
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment. 
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR).
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA.

Job Type:

  • Full-time: Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • Pay range starting at $20/hr

Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare, medical office, or direct patient care setting or completion of a Medical Assistant training program is preferred
  • Experience in dermatology is a plus!
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR).
  • Experience assisting with in-office procedures, specimen collection, and patient education.
