About the Role: The PRN Medical Assistant plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our healthcare services. This position works on an as needed basis and is responsible for providing direct support to healthcare professionals, facilitating patient care, and maintaining a safe and efficient clinical environment. The Medical Assistant will assist in various clinical tasks, including taking vital signs, performing phlebotomy, and preparing specimens for laboratory analysis. Additionally, this role involves administrative duties such as answering phones and managing patient records, which are essential for effective communication and patient flow. Ultimately, the Medical Assistant contributes significantly to the overall patient experience and the quality of care provided across DPHS sites.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of a medical assistant training program.
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent.
  • Must have reliable transportation to travel between organizational sites as needed.
