Work Environment

Located onsite at our modern Salem, VA facility, our medical practice offers a vibrant atmosphere conducive to teamwork and collaboration. The Medical Assistant will work Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with the possibility of occasional evenings or weekends for special events or emergencies. Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of administrative tasks, including managing patient appointments, ensuring timely updates to electronic health records (EHR), and maintaining accurate medical documentation.
  • Greet patients in a warm and friendly manner, gather comprehensive medical histories, and ensure their comfort as you prepare them for examinations or treatments.
  • Assist physicians during patient exams, procedures, and minor surgeries, demonstrating knowledge of medical equipment and maintaining a sterile workspace.
  • Collect and prepare specimens for laboratory testing, ensuring meticulous labeling and documentation according to established protocols.
  • Administer medications, including injections, under direct physician supervision, focusing on patient safety and adherence to medical guidelines.
  • Conduct basic laboratory tests such as blood glucose monitoring, urinalysis, and EKGs, and accurately document and communicate results to healthcare teams.
