LPN Or CMA For Advanced Orthopedics

Job Description: Performs nursing duties as they pertain to office nursing. Performs routine medical procedures and tests in conjunction with patient visits and assists the Provider as necessary. Performs clinical duties as they pertain to the Health Clinic. Performs routine medical procedures and tests in conjunction with patient visits and assists the Physician/Advanced Clinical Practitioner as necessary. Spends approximately 50% of the time acting as a scribe for the Physician.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a graduate on a one year accredited school of nursing (LPN)
  • If a MA, must be certified as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) OR be a graduate of an approved program in medical assisting and meets all eligibility requirements for certification as a Certified or Registered Medical Assistant.
  • If a recent graduate of an approved program of medical assistant, incumbent must obtain certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) within two years of employment.
  • Must hold a current and valid NC License as LPN or MA.
  • Maintains current BLS certification.
  • Required to demonstrate competency in the performance of duties specific to pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.

Preferred: ACLS Certification

Experience: One year of experience as an LPN or MA. One year experience setting preferred.
