Medical Assistant (Part Time)
Patriot Urgent Care is a leading urgent care operator in the state of Maryland. Our mission is to provide the perfect patient experience, “Get in. Get out. Get better”.
Employees in this role ensure a high quality and consistent approach to patient care. We are looking for someone who is caring, courteous and efficient. Individuals in this role need to be detail oriented, have strong interpersonal skills, be competent in medical best practices and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
We have an opening for a Medical Assistant or LPN who provides exceptional support to providers and team to ensure and establish a seamless flow between examination and treatment established. Employees in this role are the liaison between patients and medical providers.
Work Schedule: Must be able to work three 12-hour shifts per week with a rotation on weekends and some holidays.
MA / LPN positions may require travel to multiple clinic centers across the defined region to support critical shifts. Access to reliable transportation is required. Mileage is paid for travel that occurs outside of your defined home region.

Qualifications:

  • Medical Assistant (Certified, Certified Clinical, Registered, or a certificate of completion from your school is preferred, but not required) Proof of current certification is needed if you are a CMA.
  • Nurse (LPN) Must provide proof of current certification.
  • Two years of clinical experience preferred.
  • Ability to escort or transport a patient by wheelchair when appropriate.
  • BLS/CPR certification required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • We do not accept CNA’s, EMT’s, or PMD’s.

Experience:

  • Strong customer service and problem-solving / communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of EMR system.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent communication skills.
  • Perform clinical intake including obtaining patient’s medical history, current medications, chief complaint, obtain vital signs and records information within EMR system.
  • Administer medications, dress/bandage wounds, draw blood and assist provider with any procedures in/out of exam room.
  • Perform diagnostic tests including eye exams, electrocardiograph, audiogram, peak flow, and other basic nursing functions.
  • Perform both DOT and Non-DOT urine drug screens, using proper chain of custody; ensure preparation for pick-up and shipment to appropriate laboratory. (On-the-job Training)
  • Monitor disposable inventory, medical supplies, and pharmaceuticals.
  • Complete medical charting to include medical services rendered, test results, and supplies used.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN): $21.00 - $28.00
