Position Summary

We are seeking a Medical Assistant (MA) to support both clinical and administrative functions across our care teams. This role plays a key part in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care while supporting providers and ensuring efficient clinic operations.


Essential Responsibilities
  • Document patient information accurately in the EHR (EPIC)
  • Complete intake for new and returning patients
  • Prepare patients and assist providers during exams
  • Administer vaccines and perform basic clinical procedures
  • Draw blood and complete screenings as directed
  • Participate in daily huddles and support care team coordination
  • Schedule follow-ups and assist with patient flow
  • Address barriers to care and support treatment compliance
  • Maintain clean, stocked, and compliant exam rooms
  • Process and route tasks in a timely manner
  • Follow all HIPAA, OSHA, and regulatory guidelines

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program with Diploma
  • Current BLS certification

Experience
  • Minimum of 6 months of Medical Assistant experience
    or
  • Currently enrolled in a medical, nursing, or EMT program
    or
  • Completed an in-person externship in a medical institution 

Skills & Abilities
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
  • Proficient in EHR systems and Microsoft Office
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

Please note that employee's initial training schedule may differ from the regular schedule of the position. All new hires, including part-time employees, must be available for up to 40 hours of in-person, on-site training during their first week. Additional Mandatory training may continue for approximately two to three weeks, depending on the position and training requirements. Training may take place at a TFHC location other than the employees assigned work location.
