Job description

Advanced Foot & Ankle Center offers a wide range of services, from routine foot care to surgery and hospital care, diabetic foot care, and emergency, same day appointments. We have 6 convenient locations in Bountiful, Heber City, Park City, West Jordan, and Salt Lake City.
Our team is looking for a hard-working medical assistant who will work with the physicians and other members of the practice by performing a variety of clinical and administrative duties floating to different locations. This person will work to fulfill patient needs and ensure smooth patient flow within the practice.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Greet patients on the phone and in person
  • Place patients in the exam rooms
  • Take vital signs of patients
  • Assist and setup up for examination, treatment, and procedures
  • Keep accurate patient files
  • Apply dressing, bandages, and splints as ordered by podiatrist
  • Maintain a sanitized and safe working environment
  • Maintain HIPAA

Requirements
  • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work unsupervised or with minimal supervision
  • Strong computer skills and use of Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of basic medical procedures such as dressing a wound
  • Strong communication skills and ability to actively listen
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
  • Strong organizational and clerical skills to maintain patient files and perform office duties
  • Customer services skills
  • Knowledge of safety and sanitation procedures

Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Current American Heart Association CPR Certification
  • Certification from an approved medical assistant program or equivalent combination of training
  • EMR Experience, Athena or ModMed experience is a plus
