About the Role
The Assistant Program Director supports the oversight, performance, and day-to-day operations of assigned programs serving children, adolescents, and families. Working closely with the Program Director, this position helps ensure high-quality services, regulatory compliance, staff development, and program growth. The Assistant Program Director provides leadership, coaching, and operational support while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and service excellence.

Responsibilities
Assist with the management and oversight of assigned programs, including service delivery, quality assurance, program development, and operational performance
Support implementation of organizational policies, procedures, and clinical standards
Assist in monitoring compliance with agency, state, and federal regulations and licensing requirements
Support program growth initiatives and continuous quality improvement efforts
Provide guidance and support to staff regarding program expectations, goals, and service standards
Participate in staff supervision, coaching, performance management, and professional development activities
Conduct staff meetings and individual supervision sessions as needed
Ensure clinical documentation is completed accurately and in accordance with contractual and regulatory standards
Maintain assigned client services and provide therapy as needed to support program operations
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support positive client outcomes
Promote a positive team culture and maintain high standards of customer service and professionalism
Perform additional duties as assigned

Required Qualifications
Master's degree in a Human Services, Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related behavioral health discipline from an accredited college or university
Minimum of three years of experience working with children, adolescents, and families in a therapeutic treatment environment
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Experience supervising, coaching, or supporting staff development preferred
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Sensitivity to diverse cultures, backgrounds, and socioeconomic populations

Preferred Qualifications
3-5 years of experience in behavioral health, child welfare, foster care, or related human services programs
Experience supporting program operations, quality assurance, or service delivery management
Experience working within community-based behavioral health or child-serving systems
