This role is based onsite within a hospital, where you will work closely with physical therapists, physicians, and other healthcare providers. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team, equipping you to create tailored treatment plans that reflect the unique needs of our diverse patient demographic. The hospital setting allows for a steady volume of patients, with an expected caseload of 1-2 patients per hour, ensuring personalized attention and quality care.

• Assist licensed physical therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans tailored for each patient’s rehabilitation goals.
• Conduct therapeutic exercises and utilize modalities such as electrical stimulation and ultrasound, following the guidelines set by supervising therapists to enhance healing and recovery.
• Monitor and record patient progress meticulously, including tracking any improvements or setbacks, and use this information to adjust therapy strategies as needed.
• Educate patients and their families on exercise techniques, self-care strategies, and rehabilitation practices to promote an active role in their recovery process.
• Ensure compliance with all HIPAA regulations by maintaining accurate and confidential patient records and documentation.
• Assist with the operational aspects of the clinic, including scheduling patient appointments and facilitating intake procedures, ensuring a seamless workflow.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of treatment areas and equipment, verifying all therapy supplies are well organized and in optimal condition for use.
• Deliver outstanding customer service to patients and their families, fostering a welcoming atmosphere that supports their healing journey.

This position primarily serves a diverse patient population with various physical challenges, including post-surgical rehabilitation, chronic pain management, sports injuries, and pediatric care. • A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• A valid and active license to practice as a Physical Therapy Assistant in the state of Florida.
• Strong foundational knowledge of physical therapy concepts, techniques, and current practices.
• Proficient communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and team members.
• Demonstrated ability to work well in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

• Two or more years of experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant within a clinical or hospital setting.
• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems for patient documentation.
