Their duties often include taking patient histories, measuring vital signs, assisting physicians during examinations, administering injections, preparing blood samples for laboratory tests, scheduling appointments, and managing patient records. They serve as a vital link between patients and medical staff, helping to ensure the smooth operation of medical offices and clinics. The exact responsibilities can vary depending on the size and type of facility, as well as the laws of the state in which they work.
