Apprentices learn essential skills such as administering injections, taking vital signs, assisting with exams, and managing patient records. These programs typically last about one to two years and often lead to national certification and full-time employment upon completion. Apprenticeships are ideal for people who want to earn while they learn and gain practical experience in a healthcare setting.

What kinds of hands-on experience can I expect during a medical assistant apprenticeship program?

During a Medical Assistant Apprenticeship Program, you can expect to gain practical, on-the-job experience in both administrative and clinical tasks. This often includes assisting with patient intake, taking vital signs, preparing exam rooms, and supporting physicians during procedures.
