Work Environment

This role is fully remote, allowing for flexibility in your work schedule while supporting clients through telehealth platforms. While the primary work hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, you may occasionally need to accommodate evening hours based on client appointments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate the mental health and substance use challenges of clients, accurately identifying co-occurring disorders and formulating effective treatment strategies.
  • Co-create individualized treatment plans with clients, leveraging evidence-based interventions to address their unique mental health and substance use needs.
  • Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, focusing on empowering clients with coping skills, emotional regulation techniques, and relapse prevention strategies.
  • Engage in regular collaboration with our interdisciplinary team to ensure a cohesive approach to client care, including coordinating services and discussing treatment progress.
  • Utilize motivational interviewing techniques and conduct ongoing substance use monitoring to help clients remain motivated and accountable in their recovery journey.
  • Educate clients and their families about the relationship between mental health and substance use, reinforcing treatment adherence and fostering a supportive environment.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client treatment progress, interventions utilized, and referrals provided, adhering to ethical and legal standards.
  • Participate in case conferences, trainings, and staff meetings to continually enhance your knowledge and skills in treating co-occurring disorders.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Georgia.
  • Proficient in evidence-based treatment modalities for co-occurring disorders, including Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment and Motivational Interviewing.
  • A strong understanding of the dynamics between mental health and substance use disorders, alongside excellent interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration.
Preferred Experience
  • At least two years of experience in providing therapy to clients with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
