Data Annotator / Data Labeling Specialist, Agile concepts, CI/CD
10+ years experience
Roles & Responsibilities
• Accurately label text, image, audio, or structured data based on project-specific guidelines.
• Follow annotation taxonomy and definitions consistently across tasks and datasets.
• Perform quality checks, resolve ambiguities, and flag edge cases for guideline refinement.
• Meet productivity and accuracy SLAs while maintaining high attention to detail.
• Use annotation tools/platforms effectively and report tool or data issues promptly.
• Participate in calibration sessions to align with reviewers and improve inter-annotator agreement.
• Document annotation decisions and examples to support standardization and training.
• Rework rejected samples based on QA feedback and maintain continuous quality improvement.
• Handle sensitive/confidential data according to privacy and security policies.
• Track task progress, throughput, and quality metrics in assigned dashboards.
• Collaborate with ML engineers and linguists/domain experts to improve labeling frameworks.
• Support dataset curation activities such as deduplication, filtering, and metadata tagging.
• Basic understanding of data annotation tools (Labelbox, CVAT, VGG, etc.)
• Familiarity with:
