They play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of medical offices, allowing healthcare providers to focus on patient care.

What is an administrative medical assistant?

An administrative medical assistant oversees the front desk area of a healthcare facility. These clerical professionals specialize in handling the day-to-day administration of the facility so that physicians, nurses, and other medical staff can serve patients efficiently. As an administrative medical assistant, your job duties include providing customer service support to patients, scheduling appointments, filing insurance claims, and handling patient billing.
