Job description

Aftermarket Parts Sales Representative / Social Media Manager

Company: Freedom Forged 4x4
Location: Chicagoland
Employment Type: Full-Time

Role Overview

Freedom Forged 4x4 is seeking a driven, organized, and customer-focused Aftermarket Parts Sales Representative / Social Media Manager to own the full customer journey—from first inquiry to keys-back handoff—while also owning and executing our social media presence.

This role blends hands-on sales execution, customer relationship management, and brand storytelling. You are not just quoting parts—you are responsible for the entire experience, the outcome, and the reputation of the Freedom Forged brand.

If you are detail-oriented, confident with customers, fluent in off-road aftermarket products, and comfortable being the face and voice of a growing brand, this role is for you.

Primary ResponsibilitiesAftermarket Parts Sales & Customer Experience (Primary Function)

You will own the full sales cycle, end-to-end:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for aftermarket parts and installation customers

  • Qualify customer needs and recommend appropriate products and build paths

  • Build detailed, accurate quotes (parts, labor, lead times, deposits)

  • Present quotes clearly and confidently, addressing objections and questions

  • Secure deposits and schedule work with the shop team

  • Coordinate internally with technicians, shop foreman, and parts suppliers

  • Proactively communicate updates, delays, and changes to customers

  • Ensure all parts are ordered, received, and staged correctly

  • Conduct vehicle check-in and check-out with customers

  • Perform final walk-throughs of completed builds

  • Hand the customer back their keys and ensure satisfaction before departure

  • Follow up post-install to confirm quality, address issues, and reinforce trust

You own the experience from quote ? build ? keys-back. No hand-offs, no excuses.

Sales Accountability & Performance
  • Meet or exceed monthly sales targets

  • Maintain clean, accurate CRM records for all leads and customers

  • Track close rates, average ticket value, and follow-up effectiveness

  • Identify upsell and add-on opportunities aligned with customer goals

  • Represent Freedom Forged 4x4 professionally at all times

Social Media Management (Secondary Function)

You will own the day-to-day execution of Freedom Forged 4x4’s social media presence.

Content Creation & Posting
  • Capture in-shop content (photos/videos of builds, installs, deliveries, behind-the-scenes)

  • Create and publish posts across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc.)

  • Highlight builds, customer rigs, American-made products, and shop culture

  • Maintain a consistent brand voice aligned with Freedom Forged values

Engagement & Community
  • Respond to comments, messages, and inquiries promptly and professionally

  • Engage with local community pages, customers, and industry partners

  • Identify trends and opportunities to increase reach and engagement

Brand & Marketing Support
  • Support promotions, events, and special campaigns

  • Coordinate content around major builds, trips, and milestones

  • Track basic engagement metrics and growth

This is an execution role—not outsourced marketing. You are in the shop, in the builds, and in the content.

QualificationsRequired
  • Strong customer-facing communication skills

  • Sales experience (automotive, aftermarket, or high-ticket retail preferred)

  • Understanding of off-road vehicles, parts, and build processes

  • High attention to detail and follow-through

  • Comfort managing multiple customers and builds simultaneously

  • Confidence creating basic photo/video content on a smartphone

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills

Preferred
  • Experience in aftermarket automotive sales or service advising

  • Familiarity with Jeeps, trucks, overlanding, suspension, wheels/tires, accessories

  • CRM or shop management software experience

  • Prior social media management or content creation experience

What Success Looks Like
  • Customers feel informed, confident, and taken care of from start to finish

  • Quotes are accurate, clean, and profitable

  • Jobs flow smoothly from sales to shop to delivery

  • Social media consistently reflects real builds, real quality, and real pride

  • The Freedom Forged brand grows in trust, visibility, and reputation

Compensation & Growth
  • Competitive base pay + performance-based commission

  • Opportunity for growth as Freedom Forged 4x4 expands

  • Hands-on role in building one of the top off-road shops in the Midwest
