Position Overview
Stella-Jones Utility Products (SJUP) offers a portfolio of infrastructure solutions to utilities and EPCs across North America. We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Marketing Specialist to execute marketing initiatives across the SJUP portfolio.
This role is responsible for the hands-on development and delivery of marketing materials, digital content, and sales enablement tools across all product lines. The Marketing Specialist will collaborate closely with the Marketing Supervisor, Sales teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to bring marketing strategies to life by producing high-quality content, maintaining brand consistency, and ensuring timely execution of campaigns, events, and communications. This is an ideal opportunity for a marketing professional looking to build deep expertise in industrial B2B marketing while contributing to a growing portfolio of infrastructure products.
This is a newly created role and will be office-based at one of our select utility products manufacturing plants in the United States, ideally in the Eastern or Central time zone. This role will involve significant travel across the United States and Canada, expected to be up to 30%.
Key Responsibilities
Sales, Marketing & Communications Execution:
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain high-quality product collateral, brochures, and presentations as directed by the Marketing Supervisor.
  • Create and maintain sales enablement materials across product categories, ensuring alignment with approved messaging frameworks and value propositions.
  • Propose, design and manage promotional items for SJUP, leveraging the SJUP Administrative Assistant to ensure effective fulfillment methods
  • Format content for RFP and proposal submissions, working from established templates and approved positioning.
  • Coordinate the development of case studies and project profiles, gathering information from Sales, Engineering, and project teams.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date product documentation libraries for internal use.
  • Flag content gaps or inconsistencies to the Marketing Supervisor and recommend improvements.

Content & Digital Marketing Execution:
  • Execute updates to product pages on the company website as directed by the Marketing Supervisor.
  • Draft and schedule LinkedIn and other social media posts and digital campaigns in accordance with the editorial calendar established by the Marketing Supervisor.
  • Draft email communications, product announcements, and newsletters for review and approval.
  • Produce product launch materials and internal communications based on go-to-market plans established by the Marketing Supervisor.
  • Ensure strict compliance with corporate brand standards across all marketing materials.
  • Create engaging multimedia content, including short-form and long-form videos, to support product marketing and brand initiatives.
  • Monitor digital channel performance metrics and compile reports for the Marketing Supervisor.
  • Work with Marketing Supervisor to develop social media training and direction for sales resources, including LinkedIn

Market & Competitive Intelligence Support:
  • Research competitor activity, product offerings, and marketing positioning as directed by the Marketing Supervisor.
  • Gather and organize data on industry trends and relevant utility market developments.
  • Assist in preparing competitive comparison documents and battlecard updates based on research findings.
  • Support product positioning analysis and contribute to pricing-related insights on an as-needed basis, as directed by the Marketing Supervisor and Product Managers.

Trade Shows & Industry Events:
  • Execute trade show and event logistics, including booth setup, signage, and promotional materials, based on the event strategy defined by the Marketing Supervisor.
  • Prepare all associated marketing materials, including booth content, handouts, giveaways, and digital displays.
  • Coordinate pre- and post-event communications, including invitations, follow-up emails, and social media coverage.
  • Track event leads and support follow-up campaigns, ensuring timely entry into CRM or tracking systems.
  • Attend and represent SJUP at trade shows and industry events as required.

Cross-Functional Coordination:
  • Work closely with: Marketing Supervisor (for priorities, guidance, and approvals), Sales team (for content needs and field feedback), Engineering (for technical accuracy of materials), Corporate Communications team (for brand and corporate alignment)
  • Support messaging alignment across all product lines by flagging inconsistencies and implementing updates as directed.
  • Assist in identifying opportunities to promote bundled or cross-selling solutions through marketing materials.

Continuous Improvement & Tools:
  • Proactively suggest improvements to marketing processes, templates, and workflows.
  • Stay current with marketing tools, platforms, and industry best practices.
  • Leverage AI and modern marketing technologies to improve efficiency and content quality in daily work.
  • All other related tasks as assigned by the Marketing Supervisor.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field required
  • Two (2) or more years of experience in B2B marketing required; Five (5) or more years preferred
  • Marketing experience in manufacturing or industrial markets highly preferred
  • Proficiency in Canva, Microsoft Office and related presentation tools required; Adobe Illustrator experience preferred
  • Experience with social media marketing and content scheduling platforms required
  • Experience creating video content (filming, editing, and publishing) a plus
  • Familiarity with website CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress)
  • Excellent writing and editing skills with high attention to detail
  • Ability to travel within the US and Canada up to 30%
  • French language skills a plus
