Job Description
What does Zenith Analytics do?
Working closely with both the Business Planning and Activation teams, Analytics designs the data strategy to tie our clients' marketing to real-world business goals. We then mine that data to optimize campaigns and tell the stories that bring our clients closer to their marketing, helping them understand if they're talking to the people they want, and if they're doing it the right way.
What does a successful Associate Director look like?
We don't all look the same, and we don't expect you to, either. But successful members of our team generally have a passion for emerging tech and media, bring a data-driven approach to decision-making, have a fresh perspective and share it in a positive way, don't shy away from a challenge, and are always hungry to learn more.
We look for prior experience in media analytics, especially digital media. You should already be used to representing your team to external clients, since Associate Directors are often the face of our Analytics team. We hope you're a numbers whiz and know how to bring data to life through a compelling story. We're also hoping you have at least six years of prior professional experience, with at least three years worth of experience managing junior-level staff members.
What does an Associate Director do day-to-day?
The Associate Director plays a pivotal role in our organization. They are the primary contact to internal and many external teams, and also provide guidance to our Managers and Senior Analysts. As such, Associate Directors are mentors, project managers, and thought leaders, all at the same time. This position will play a critical role in helping to demonstrate the effectiveness of media performance via analytical methods, from measurement strategy to data collection to analyses to actionable recommendations & optimizations.
Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the VP and SVP, Analytics to formulate a vision for the account, and then execute on that vision with their Manager and Senior Analysts
  • Provide oversight and guidance to Manager and Senior Analyst. Oversee team assignments and load balancing.
  • Responsible for project roadmaps, pacing towards milestones, and overall success.
  • Owns the learning agenda, measurement plan, and all reporting deliverables for assigned line of business
  • Proactively identify, research, and help implement innovative solutions
  • Works in close collaboration, and leads communications with internal and external stakeholders such as Strategy, Investment, Operations, Data Governance, Engineering, clients, and vendor partners, with the ability to adapt to varying audiences

Qualifications
  • 5-7 years of experience working in an Analytics capacity
  • 3+ years in a managerial or supervisory role
  • Bachelor's degree. Degree in a related field is a plus (i.e. STEM, Economics, Marketing/Advertising, etc.).
  • Agency experience is a must, as is knowledge of Marketing/Advertising industries
  • Comfort in working in highly ambiguous, rapidly evolving environments
  • Develop strong collaborative relationship with media team members and partners, earning credibility to drive results as a respected advisor
  • World-class customer service skills. Ability to service clients, partners and internal stakeholders by understanding their needs, translating those needs into creative solutions, and delivering on those solutions with diligence and a sense of urgency
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas to both external and internal clients
  • Demonstrated strong project management skills
  • A strong natural curiosity for analytical problems and data challenges - and the willingness to understand the role of data from strategy to execution to optimization

  • Thought leadership on all aspects of offline and digital advertising, media strategy and media measurement
  • Ability to develop and execute on Analytics frameworks such as learning agendas, measurement plans, test & learn roadmaps, and ability to steer complex analytics projects
  • Ability to act in a consultative role, evaluating and providing an informed point-of-view on new KPIs, data sets, and measurement partners
  • Strong understanding of traditional and digital advertising, strategy and measurement
  • Experience with digital media and analytics tools (Ad Servers, Measurement Vendors, BI Software)
  • Understanding of a broad range of online advertising media channels such as Search, Display Banners, Contextual, and Social, as well as subject matter expertise in at least one of these areas
  • Extensive experience in pulling and aggregating campaign reporting data, including: Google Analytics/Adobe Analytics, CM360, DV360, GA4, Social (in-platform for partners like Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, etc), Search Ads, Google Ads, site-served data
  • Experience with ad verification tools such as IAS & Moat
  • Extensive experience with digital media metrics (Impressions, Clicks, CTR, CPM, etc.).
  • Strong analytical skills are required, including the ability to analyze raw data, draw conclusions, and summarize actionable recommendations and their forecasted outcomes/implications
  • Ability to structure and manipulate large data sets to answer business questions
  • Experience with querying relational databases with programs like SQL or proven aptitude to learn quickly
  • Advanced Excel skills (ability to work with macros, advanced formulas, pivot tables) and experience working with large data sets
  • Use statistical analyses to determine digital performance relative to benchmarks, testing results, and audience insights
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office software such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint, including advanced Excel skills (ability to work with macros, advanced formulas, pivot tables)

Compensation Range: USD $112,290.00 - USD $153,600.00/Annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met.
