Job description

The Sr. Manager will be responsible for leading all digital media activation efforts for Sonic and Local pods within the Inspire Brands portfolio. This role will work cross-functionally between Media Strategy & Planning, Consumer Analytics, Brand Marketing, and with Inspire's media agency-of-record to develop and execute all in-house aspects of the broader campaign. Leading a team of 7 direct reports and collaborating with peer Managers and Senior Managers across Media Strategy & Planning to maintain business outcomes/insights performance reporting and financial stewardship across the brand portfolio.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Digital Media
  • Responsible for owning and overseeing all digital media activation for respective brand(s).

  • Channels include: Programmatic, Paid Social, Biddable 3PD and Paid search.

  • Ensuring team is executing campaigns according to brand/agency plans and continually optimizing to drive superior performance

  • Develop POV's and strategic recommendations that will improve performance and aligns with the overall goals of the brand(s)

  • Collaborate with external partners to drive joint business plans, strategic sessions, QBRs, and campaign performance.

  • Work closely with the larger demand generation teams (Audience Planning, Analytics, Data and Tech) to setup and ensure audiences strategies are being properly implemented and tested.

  • Possess a well-developed analytical ability and a proven track record of extracting tangible insights from large data sets

  • Ensure all partners and ad tech tools are being leveraged and your team is producing reports that display the impact of the media being bought

  • Work with your team to ensure billing and budget pacing is handled accurately and on time

  • Mentor, train, and develop jr level team members on biddable team to continually strengthen the department and assist in succession planning across your direct team

  • Push test and learn agendas to media and business performance.

  • Delivery ad hoc campaigns and requests in a timely organized manner.

  • Be partners to Media Strategy and planning as well as Publicis in buying and planning all media.

Agency and Cross-Functional Internal Teams Collaboration
  • Exhibit confident communication skills with various internal leadership heads, including brand CMOs to effectively present tactical paid media plans and campaign status reports on a regular basis or as needed

  • Interface with external/internal teams in managing requests concerning processes and deliverables.

  • Partner with Managers of MS&P and the agency relationship at the "pod" level

  • Provide insights on competitive tracking, campaign performance, pacing on a regular basis and/or as needed

  • Partner with the media analytics team to measure impact of ongoing campaigns and overall plan

  • Work with Audience Planning to determine audience scalability and strategies across each platform.

  • Partner Work closely with other internal departments to develop learning agenda and testing roadmap based on brands' objectives, insights, and key challenges

Requirements:
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in SEM, Paid Social or Programmatic and / or biddable media

  • 5+ years working in media buying either on the agency side or the client side

  • Experience managing people and projects

  • Demonstrated experience in problem solving and managing multiple tasks

  • Ability to lead teams and deliver results

  • Excellent project management skills (proficiency in Excel/PPT/SharePoint will be key)

  • Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet project deadlines

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to lead and influence others

  • Personal integrity, humility, an appreciation for the power of true teamwork
