The range for this role is $17.31 - $22.36

Actual base pay will be determined based on a successful candidate's work location, skills/abilities, experience, and education.

Interested applicants must be willing and able to work onsite full time in our Melbourne, FL office.

The Team

The Job

The Mailroom Associate performs mailroom activities including the receiving, sorting and delivery of incoming mail, as well as the preparation, delivery and sending of outgoing mail. This role monitors inventory, checks and reorders items as needed. The Mailroom Associate works alongside the Director of Facilities to provide an efficient mailroom and scanning service to the Ministry and supports other team members.


Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Prepare items for shipment and compare identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
  • Compile, read, sort, and process source data, such as electronic tasks, deliveries, purchase orders, checks, and sales reports and enter relevant data into correct fields quickly and accurately.
  • Offloading delivery trucks transporting deliveries and supplies into the work area.
  • Verify, sort, and maintain records on incoming and outgoing shipments and mail.
  • Sort incoming and interoffice mail distribute to employees and departments.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate logs of daily work, the quantitative amount of information entered, reports of any errors or inaccuracies, and recommended modifications to departmental goals.
  • Input information from a variety of sources into a computer database using both alphanumeric and 10-key skills.
  • Communicate effectively with managers and colleagues to clarify work assignments and resolve operational issues.
  • Contribute to the exercise and expression of Christian Care Ministry's Christian beliefs.

Additionally, a successful candidate must possess the following:

  • Valid State of Florida Driver's License (FDL)
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) is required
  • Must be able to unload delivery truck
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs

Education and/or Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and 2+ years of relevant work experience is required.
  • Knowledge of logistics or supply chain management is preferred.
