Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Technologist to join our dynamic laboratory team in Ohio. As a Medical Technologist, you will perform essential laboratory tests that support the diagnosis, treatment, and care of our patients. Working with a team of healthcare professionals, you will use state-of-the-art equipment to ensure accurate and timely results. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about laboratory science and patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform a wide range of laboratory tests in hematology, chemistry, microbiology, immunology, and other diagnostic areas.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring proper calibration and quality control procedures.
  • Analyze test results, document findings, and communicate results to physicians and healthcare teams.
  • Prepare specimens and reagents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with laboratory instruments or procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards, including infection control and proper handling of hazardous materials.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities, including proficiency testing and audits.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with HIPAA and other regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in medical technology or a related field.
  • Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or an equivalent certification.
