We are seeking a passionate Power Module Design Member of Technical Staff with expertise in power module design to come on board onsemi's Power Solutions Group design team and be part of our quest to be the global Intelligent Power solutions leader.

  • Minimum Masters degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Physics or related technical field.

  • Over 10 years of experience in power semiconductors and power electronics, with at least 5 years' experience in either design or development.

  • Proficiency in ECAD computer-aided electronics tools such as PSpice, SIMetrix and Ansys EM and Ansys CFD are highly desirable. Added proficiency in MCAD tools such as Solidworks or PTC Creo is an added advantage.

  • Decisive, strong technical leadership and self-driven to resolve tough engineering challenges.

  • Communication fluency in English is a must.

  • This is a senior level individual contributor position on the technical ladder. The final job grade will depend on the candidate's knowledge and experience.

  • You will lead initiatives to define platform architecture for state-of-the-art high power modules.

  • You will have technical ownership and leadership to develop, qualify and release primarily SiC power modules, alongside other power solutions. You will have engineering product ownership, with the need for implementing feasible designs, assessing technical risk and making sound engineering judgement.

  • You will lead a cross-functional team to formulate a working design that is predictive. Your proficiency in ECAD and MCAD tools will aid this.

  • You will drive a global cross-functional team for new product development, focused on execution quality.

  • You will partner engineering teams to drive product level DFQM, DFMEA and PFMEA.

  • You will work with leading customers to resolve technical challenges and ensure successful design-in execution.

  • You are required to frequently engage internal and stakeholders to communicate project status.
