  • Develop and maintain application firmware, design motion profiles and trajectories.
  • Design control systems hardware integrating OEM Servo Drive products to custom enclosures.
  • Perform PID loop tuning and robustness analysis.
  • Develop and improve image processing techniques in products automating robot teaching.
  • Develop functional specifications of different features integrating the robotics/mechanisms to Lam wafer handling modules.
  • Support existing and new robotics / mechanism products throughout their lifecycle.
  • Create documentation.
  • Support Failure Analysis using 5-Why and 8D methods.
  • Support test stand development and operation at remote supplier sites.

Who we're looking for
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering with experience in industrial robotics or mechatronics design.
  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2 years of experience or an advanced degree with no industry experience.
  • Image processing techniques with OpenCV.
  • Working knowledge of C, C++ and Python.
  • Knowledge/experience in these areas related to 6-DOF or scara-type industrial robots.
  • Robot kinematic and dynamics modeling by deriving equation-of-motion.
  • Trajectory profile calculation using trapezoidal or jerk-limited profiles.
  • PID loop tuning using classical Control theory. Knowledge with state-space a plus.
  • Embedded firmware experience (RTOS, bare metal) a plus but not required.

Preferred qualifications
