Job description

JOB SUMMARY:

The Electrical Assembler III position requires an individual to have the electrical skills, knowledge and ability to assemble and disassemble automated packaging machines to applicable machine prints, original machine equipment documentation company standards and machine specifications. This position works under the direction of an assembly production supervisor.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

  1. Steward our mission (to enrich lives by providing differentiated packaging automation and services) and values (unwavering integrity, servant's heart, ownership spirit and continuous innovation and improvement).
  2. Apply the mechanical skills required to assemble and disassemble automated packaging machines.
  3. Read and understand machine blue prints, document per original machine equipment (OEM) documentation requirements and company standards.
  4. Use power and hand tools, shop equipment, testing and measuring devices.
  5. Determine if machine parts match specifications.
  6. Update and maintain machine documentation.
  7. Identify and locate missing machine parts.
  8. Update machine prints as required.
  9. Follow the proper procedure for ordering parts.
  10. Verify the proper alignment and tolerances of all machine parts.
  11. Communicate with coworkers in a respectful manner.
  12. Maintain an orderly and clean work environment which includes tool box, test materials, carts, shop equipment and surrounding areas.
  13. Comply with all safety policies and procedures.
