Job description

Highland Consulting Group, a national executive search firm specializing in construction recruitment, is partnering with a well-established Mechanical Contractor in the State College, PA area to find an experienced Mechanical Project Manager.
This permanent, on-site position offers stability with little to no travel and is ideal for a detail-oriented leader with 5+ years of experience managing commercial and industrial mechanical piping, plumbing, and sheet metal projects. Large project experience is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all project phases, ensuring seamless execution from start to finish.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules to meet key milestones.
  • Estimate, negotiate, and track change orders effectively.
  • Manage project budgets and approve all related expenses.
  • Oversee contract administration and subcontractor/equipment buyouts.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for project owners and stakeholders.
  • Maintain detailed project records and ensure proper closeout documentation.
  • Conduct punch-list inspections with superintendents and owner representatives.
  • Foster client relationships to drive repeat business opportunities.
