Job Overview

Were seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Estimator to join our team in Paris, TX.

The Mechanical Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for mechanical construction projects, including HVAC, plumbing, piping, and process mechanical systems. This position reviews construction documents, performs detailed quantity takeoffs, solicits vendor and subcontractor pricing, and develops comprehensive bid proposals. The Mechanical Estimator works closely with project managers, operations, vendors, and clients to ensure estimates are complete, accurate, and aligned with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review project plans, specifications, and contract documents to determine project scope.
  • Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, piping, and associated equipment.
  • Develop accurate labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor cost estimates.
  • Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotations.
  • Prepare complete bid proposals and estimate summaries.
  • Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving alternatives.
  • Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and project walkthroughs as required.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in construction estimating
  • Strong understanding of construction documents and specifications
  • Proficient in take-offs and scope analysis
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and team-focused
