Position Summary
TheSchool of Engineering, Department of Mechanical Engineering anticipates hiringAdjunct (Temporary, Part time) Faculty to teach and/or develop program coursesin Mechanical Engineering for the Summer 2025, Fall 2025, and Spring 2026semesters.
Anticipatedopenings, potentially include the following subjects: Dynamics, Vibrations,Control Systems, Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, Finite Element Analysis,Engineering Materials Science, Fluid Mechanics, Machine Components, EngineeringDesign, and Aerospace Systems.
MechanicalEngineering is seeking qualified temporary part time faculty members to teachin the various disciplines as specified above. Instructors are responsible forall aspects of courses taught to include: meeting with class during assignedtimes, content delivery, assignment development, grading assignments, reportingof grades, and assessment of student learning as outlined by the DepartmentChair.
Positionsare contingent upon need each semester as determined by student enrollmentlevels, current course offering matrix, and demand driven by graduationrequirements. Positions may be filled or eliminated each semester up todeadline for students to drop or add courses. Candidates who are selected forthese positions will report to the Department Chair.
Wages
Adjunct Faculty in Mechanical Engineering are currently compensated $6,256.49per 3 credit hour course. (Subject tochange)
