Mechanical Engineer
Wayland, MA location
Perm

We are seeking a skilled and innovative Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Wayland, MA. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing mechanical systems, devices, and processes. You will collaborate regularly with the design team to create efficient and reliable solutions while ensuring adherence to industry standards and project requirements. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to new product design and prototype development projects, making a tangible impact in a dynamic work environment with approximately 25% travel.

Responsibilities

  • Design products such as engines, machines, instruments, controls, or robots
  • Collaborate with design team to create sketches, layouts, and plans
  • Use CAD software (SolidWorks) to create preliminary and detailed product drawings
  • Develop product specifications and select raw materials and components
  • Build and test models and prototypes
  • Analyze test data and benchmark against similar designs
  • Develop control systems and monitor production processes
  • Document design processes and maintain project records

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required; Master’s degree preferred
  • Proficient with CAD software, specifically SolidWorks
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong mechanical and technical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail

  • 3+ years of experience in mechanical engineering
