What are your contributions to the team?
• Prepare all necessary documents to support the interior and secondary structure modification of Bombardier aircraft such as detail, assembly and installation drawings, specification documents and substantiation reports.
• Coordinate with outside suppliers, internal departments and regulatory agencies regarding the design, installation, integration, and certification of new interior components to support floorplan modifications.
• Research specification for component selection. Coordinate with suppliers to ensure specifications are met.
• Support statement of work creation and bids for new customer requests.
• Assist service center personnel in investigating, troubleshooting, and resolution of build/modification and test issues and create deviation drawings as required.
• Work in a team environment
How to thrive in this role?
• You have experience with interior aircraft modifications (seat reworks, headliners, railings, bulkhead repair, galleys, arm ledges, appliances, etc) - required
• You will hold a Bachelor of Science Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent with two (2) years relevant experience or will have a minimum of eight (8) years of practical mechanical design experience in aviation.
• Working knowledge of electrical wiring diagrams and wire routing.
• Working knowledge of integration of ECS systems, waste and potable water systems, and other commodities associated with interior installations.
• You are proficient creating mechanical drawings using CATIA (required) and AutoCAD (additional)
• You will have a working knowledge of applicable regulatory certification rules (FAA, EASA, TCCA).
• You will be proficient with MS Office (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Access)
• You must be a self-starter and able to handle multiple initiatives effectively.
• You must exhibit excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
• You should be an organized individual, able to work effectively with a variety of cross-functional individuals, departments and organizations with a general good attitude and disposition.
• Effective communication of design intent, and design resolution are preferred.
