Diesel Mechanic
Pay: $28.00
Shift: 7am to 4pm M-F
Location: St. Rose, LA.

Integrity Trade Services is hiring a Diesel Mechanic for our client to start immediately. Receive comprehensive benefits through ITS upon hire!

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and overhaul marine diesel engines and related systems
  • Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, filter replacements, valve adjustments, and cooling system service
  • Repair and maintain fuel, air, exhaust, and lubrication systems
  • Inspect and service gearboxes, transmissions, shafts, and propulsion systems
  • Test engines and mechanical components; read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
  • Conduct emergency and corrective repairs to minimize vessel downtime
  • Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records
  • Follow all marine safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
  • Work closely with vessel crews, supervisors, and inspectors as needed

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience as a diesel mechanic, preferably in a marine or maritime environment
  • Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems a plus
  • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical failures independently
  • Knowledge of marine safety regulations and best practices
  • Capable of working in confined spaces, engine rooms, and varying weather conditions
